TOKYO, Japan- Jigowatts Inc. (Headquarters: Chūō-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tomoki Shibata) has installed five Mode 3 EV chargers, developed and manufactured in-house, in mechanical parking systems operated by GENERAL AUTOMATIC CARS PARKING SYSTEM CO., LTD. (G-PARK) in Thailand. This marks the first* instance of a Japanese venture company installing its own Mode 3 EV chargers in Thailand.

Background

The global share of electric vehicles (EVs) in new car sales has been steadily increasing, with EV sales exceeding 17 million units in 2024, accounting for more than 20% of global new car sales. Thailand’s EV market has also experienced rapid growth, with EVs accounting for 13% of passenger car sales in 2024, up from just 2% in 2022.

Based on these trends, Jigowatts initiated partnerships with local companies in Vietnam and India to promote EV chargers in March 2025. 

After discussions with various companies, G-PARK evaluated Jigowatts’ integrated hardware and software solutions, leading to the installation of five Mode 3 EV chargers (with a maximum output of 7.5kW) in their mechanical parking systems.

Future Plan

Looking ahead, Jigowatts aims to become a global EV charging platform provider, offering both hardware and software solutions. The company is targeting the sale and installation of over 150,000 EV chargers worldwide by 2030.
