Tokyo, Japan – Jigowatts Inc. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tomoki Shibata) has added a new Schedule Charging function to its EV charging app, “Jigowatts Home” (the “Home App”).
This feature allows users to avoid hours of high household electricity demand and charge only during safer, lower-load periods.
By simply selecting start and end times in the app, users can enjoy smart, lifestyle-tailored charging at home.

What’s New

Jigowatts has introduced Schedule Charging to the Home App.
By automatically charging during off-peak household hours—avoiding times such as dinner preparation or when hair dryers and microwave ovens are in use—the feature helps reduce the risk of tripping the breaker.

When combined with the existing Output Control function (adjustable up to 6 kW / 30 A), users can fine-tune their charging setup to match their main breaker capacity and daily routine.

Recommended for users who:

・Prefer to charge overnight when household electricity usage is lower

・Have limited breaker capacity and wish to distribute power usage more efficiently

・Want a “plug-in and auto-charge” experience—simply plug in after returning home and let charging start automatically at the preset time

How It Works (Simple)

1.Select your charger in the app

2.Turn on “Charging Schedule”3.Set your preferred charging window (e.g., 22:00 – 07:00 next day)

※Adjust maximum output under “Output Control” if necessary  ※Note: It may take a short while for settings to sync to the charger.

Available under the “EV Charger Installation Plan (actual cost of only ¥30,000, with output up to 6 kW)”

The new feature is also available to customers in Tokyo’s detached homes under the “EV Charger Installation Plan (actual cost of only ¥30,000, with output up to 6 kW)”.
